English-Test.net Shop

We rebuilt the English-Test.net online storefront using Drupal 6 and Ubercart. One of the major challenges we overcame during this project was the importation of over 8 years of sales data. Orders, customers and payment records. A lot of data, for over 8,000 customers and well over 10,000 orders. We managed to import it all with near perfect results, to the great relief of the sites owner. He saw the real sales numbers for the first time in years after sales from two different payment processors were merged together.

During the storefront rebuild we changed and improved the categorization of products, including adding 2 new major categories. The result was a simplified browsing experience. The product display pages were also improved and simplified. This included displaying product sample files in a uniform way at the top of each product page.

Because the English-Test.net shop products are mostly downloadable files, we used Ubercart File Download module to manage the delivery of the files after purchase. This worked out quite well and the buyer receives an email with links to download immediately after their purchase.
