Redefining Search Marketing & Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
GoldHat's name is a play on words from the SEO terms Blackhat and Whitehat. We don't think just in terms of Whitehat SEO, but in terms of GoldHat SEO. Our job is to create a wealth of keyword rankings for our customers. And we mean that literally as well as figuratively.
Search Engine Marketing is challenging at best, mystifying at worst. It can also be made simpler. Our approach is to give your website visitors what they want and deserve. Valuable content, designed with real people, real readers and viewers in mind. That is the correct approach to SEO from our perspective. It's the authentic approach. Publish great content, keep that content fresh, manage it effectively. That is the foundation of a successful search engine marketing campaign and the key to long-term SEO results.
Is content publishing enough? In some cases it is! What if you need more traffic? What is your competitive and want to outrank your competition for important keyword terms in your market? This is the real purpose of the term optimization. Search engine optimization is not the whole strategy. It is the optimization done after you have produced great content. Now we ensure the HTML tags support search rankings. We ensure that the site structure produces a good network of links. There are dozens of checks and balances that go into the SEO process. The good news is that if you start with winning content, the SEO process will usually be very rewarding.
The GoldHat Search Marketing Process
We start by analyzing your current search rankings, and looking at the on-page factors such as the keyword density, use of HTML headlines, ALT tags. Then we look at the off-page factors, which sites are linking to your site and which content is being linked. We like to install Google Webmaster Tools (GWT) for this purpose because we feel that if Google recognizes an inbound link to your site in GWT, then that gives us some level of assurance that the link is involved in rankings. We're also interested in the PageRank of your site and how PR is being distributed.
Once our initial analysis of your sites search rankings and indexing is complete, we can then talk with you about your goals and help you choose milestones. It's important to have a clear vision about where SEO will fit into your overall digital marketing strategy. We will also use this opportunity to help you identify what opportunities exist in search marketing for your business. For example if your a locally operating business, we'll check the number of searches for your goods and services in your regional area on major search engines.
